IT Admin and Support Officer (Europe)

Purpose of Role

To manage the effective use of IT systems across the region in support of sales and marketing efforts. Ensuring the smooth-running and availability of all IT-related systems in the LON Town office, and to support the systems in other UK, European and Cargo offices.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Single Point of Contact for IT Support & Initiatives

  • Support IT-related issues of staff from the UK, European and Cargo offices.
  • Contact point for HQ (SIN) on UK/Europe IT matters, with quarterly cadences.
  • Assist in promoting IT Infrastructure Services (IFS) projects and initiatives.
  • Communication channel for feedback from staff.
  • Procurement of IT products and services, and timely processing of invoices

 

Software, Hardware & Network Management

  • Coordinate software distribution and Windows patches push down and provide distribution PC list for trial PC and controlled software.
  • Assist to reconcile software inventory in case of discrepancy.
  • Ensure that software, hardware, and administrative rights meet audit requirements.
  • Install department /station specific software and printer/scanner/copier drivers.
  • Local Area Network cabling and connectivity of PCs, printers, scanners, copiers, fax, and servers
  • Manage SQ network Wi-Fi access points, and standalone broadband Wi-Fi in Chiswick office.
  • Manage Chiswick office’s file/intranet server.
  • Manage security and permissions on shared files on servers.
  • Maintain regular multi-generational backups.
  • Housekeep & effectively utilize file server and SharePoint space for their division / station.

 

User, Access & Directory Management

  • Assist new users (staff / non-staff) on the creation, usage, and maintenance of win2k, Outlook Email, token access, application IDs and VPN access where applicable.
  • Manage annual renewals of Windows and application IDs for UK non-staff.
  • Co-ordinate the annual ID recertification exercise for Europe
  • Coordinate with and assist Field Engineers and escalate to ITD for unresolved issues and service delivery failure.
  • Create and maintain Outlook distribution lists and shared mailboxes.
  • Create/delete security groups within Division OU and add/remove members within the security group.

 

IT Administration

  • Maintain detailed inventory of Chiswick and Heathrow offices’ IT equipment.
  • BSP Administrator for UK and Ireland
  • Requestor for service requests through SQNow for UK/Europe stations: Internet access, Internet Access Exceptions, VPN access.
  • Management of content on Europe Intranet pages and FAQ
  • Manage and update SRMS Requestor and Department Manager Approver List

 

Miscellaneous

  • Occasional applications development e.g. UK APD Calculator
  • Writing occasional macros for Excel work

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience and expertise in IT support.
  • Knowledge of organisational setup and protocol
  • Competence with SIA/Airline systems
